#1984WrestlingWars Mid-South Wrestling TV for the third week of April 1984, WWF All Star Wrestling, 4/14/84, A match from World of Sport, 4/14/84

Mid-South Wrestling TV for the 3rd week of April 1984. We begin with Boyd and Jim at the desk reminding us that this week is the finals of the Mid-South TV Title Tournament. Pitting Krusher Kruschev againist Terry Taylor. The winner recives 10,000 dollas and a medal. We then go to an odd taped segment of Ross in another studio, explaining in more detail how each man got to this point and then showing us those moments! I guess Watts was not happy with the segment during the original taping. This felt strange like it was post produced it obviously  and shoe-horned in. This was the entire first segment.
Both men are in the ring to begin the title match as they return from break. However before introductions ring announcer Reeser Bowden says that theu have a special presentation for Taylor at ringside. A woman is there with a box of roses from a"Little Crippled girl that is Taylor's biggest fan"! Taylor accepts the gift and kisses the young lady very willingly! Butch Reed comes out livid and says that mid south gave Taylor a gift giving him the victory over himself last week when he didn't beat anybody and does not deserve this match. Taylor answers with you lost and after this match i'm not hard to find.
Taylor climbs in the ring, Butch comes back to ringside with the flowers and destroys them ripping them up. Terry distraght hits the floor to pick up the flowers that are strewn everywhere. As he does this Reed apprears again and attacks him. Hitting a stiff looking piledriver on the floor. Taylor is out! Ross says that if Taylor cannot compete in the match per the rules of the tournament he will forefit. Terry comes to the ring wearing a neckbrace and says he can wrestle. That old "Babyface fighting spirit thing"!
The match begins and Terry is doing ok but favoring the neck. Untill Kruschev grabs Taylor by the front of his trunks and rams him face 1st into the turnbuckles. Taylor slumps down like a dishrag! Krushev puts on a hangman's neckbreaker and hit a piledriver for the pin! Your 1st Mid-South Tv Champion Krusher Kruschev! Volkoff and Reed hit the ring to celebrate as he is awarded the check and the medal!....This was wrestling booking 101 and it got over!
Other developments in a taped piece Bill Watts re-retires after "the Last Stampede" vs the Midnight Express. We are supposed to go to film footage of that match, but instead we see the RNR express loosing last week on tv to Landell and Reed. We find out later that somehow Jim Cornette has gotten ahold of the film and he and his team cut it to bits before a squash match. so that no one will ever see a Cornette get embarresed.

They show us film of a match from New Orleans between Mr. Wrestling II and Magnum TA for the North American title. There is a ref bump and when TA has II beaten an identical masked man in outfit, but much bigger and younger comes out that Ross doing the voice over says is Mr Wrestling III. He beats up Magnum and coves TA and a groggy referee counts the three. So a man not in the match wins it!
We go back to the ring and Mr wrestling II says he is Mr Wrestling and his new protoge is now II! (This whole renaming thing is confusing and dumb and I will refer to the new man as Mr. Wrestling III.) It is Hercules Hernandez under the mask after finishing up as one of the Assassins in Mid-atlantic)! Anyway the debuting III beats up a job guy and then TA hits the ring untill he is double teamed and Stagger Lee shows up to make the save! The crowd goes nuts and they go off the air! So much stuff in 42 minutes really good TV here!....https://youtu.be/V3OHPbtSJHk

WWF All-Star Wrestling 4/14/84 This show seemed just sort of thrown together for the most part. Sqaush match from different places with different crowds some with/without a ring announcer even! Hulk Hogan di face Afa the Samoan, though he beat him, Sika, and Capt Lou all by himself in close to four minutes! So not much to it Really.
The best part of this show was easily the famous "Piper's Pit" with Jobber Frankie Williams!  Just classic!....Some good squashes like Cowboy Bob Orton or a tag match with Dr. D And Paul Orndoff. And some awful ones with Tony Atlas, Rocky Johnson And SD Jones in a 6 man tag match. It went one for I think,  9 hours. Or the sloppy botch fest that was the debut of PVT Terry Daniels the 1st grad of Sgt Slaughter's Cobra Core. It was nice to see a full show from WWF in this era. It did seem big time! https://youtu.be/eL9mTJ3K9r8

World of Sport Wrestling 4/14/84 Fit Finaly vs Marty Jones! I love the british wrestling style and pace and these two were as great at it as anybody ever to do it! Mat wrestling wizards! tremendous commentary by the great Ken Walton and a super hot crowd! Physical man to man hard nosed grappling! I know this was a work, but I  dare you to spot it in any way during this bout! WOS was for the most part minus Big Daddy and Giant Haystack, much more sport than entertainment!...https://dai.ly/x9bzuq
